I had late night coffee with Gladys for two years.  She was the perfect blend of nocturnal elegance and Sunday morning optimism.

“Our collective hunger for physical proximity and face to face interactions are deeply felt.  These days seeing a complete face is a luxury -and drawing them is a source of pleasure for me."


Expressively drawn faces- real and imagined- are rendered in acrylics + oils and layered intuitively with beloved book pages, antique illustrations of flora and fauna and timeless symbols of order and harmony. 

Mixed media on Baltic birch with gold leaf.   The painting is finished with black edges +  a UV protective varnish.
