Several years ago Olympia was a partner in one of my favorite adventures in Athens + Istanbul. She is the youngest sister in a family I adore whose matriarch is a fashion visionary + master seamstress.

Expressively drawn faces- real and imagined- are rendered in acrylics + oils and layered intuitively with beloved book pages, antique illustrations of flora and fauna and timeless symbols of order and harmony.
Mixed media on Baltic birch with gold leaf. The painting is finished with black edges + a UV protective varnish.
